Shai was born on Sunday morning, September 12,1954
in Washington, DC...was raised in the Philadelphia
areaand attended university in California..served in both
the US and Israeli armed forces...married, had a daughter,
fought in Lebanon. divorced and started a new life.

In early 1990 he came to Holland as a free-lance
journalist, and soon became quite chummy with local
newsmakers and visiting dignitaries..as well as figures
in the local 'underground'...co-producing documentaries
for national televison featuring interviews with IRA
informants, Yasser Arafat and Fidel Castro, among others.

Through a chance meeting at a diplomatic reception in
Den Haag he was invited into the world of back-rooms
and bedrooms as a well-paid escort for women of
discretion..Within 5 years he'd earned a reputation as
"world's most famous gigolo"

..In fact the 'real gigolo' in the Deuce Bigalow movies
was inspired by Shai's real-life adventures.....You may
have read about him in one of the dozens of magazines
and newspapers in which he featured prominently over
the years...such as Playboy en Penthouse, Beau Monde,
Esquire, The Face, Ma'Ariv and HEEB among others...
OR you may have seen one of several documentaries
about his life which have aired on TV stations in
more than a dozen countries around the world, i
ncluding the US, UK, Russia, Israel, S.Africa..
and even Chile!

But that is not Shai's life story..just a small
chapter in what has been a long journey to be who
he is, and what he is today...a "World Class Entertainer"
talented stage actor, much sought after radio personality
and CROONER in the style of legends such as Dean Martin,
Bobby Darin and his idol....
